上質な静謐。

混沌とした世の中に差し込む光。

春夏秋冬、今を生きるものを静かに捉え、凛とそこにあり続ける。

Refined stillness. A ray of light entering a chaotic world. Across four seasons, these works gently capture living things of the present moment, remaining poised and dignified in their presence.

素地の成形から、上絵まで全ての作業を一人でこなす。それは描きたい上絵に合わせた素地の形を求めているからでしょう。どんな小さな作品、大きな作品だとしてもぴったりとはまる構図は見事。

From shaping the base clay to applying the overglaze, every step is carried out by a single artist, Yukika Shibata. Whether the piece is small or large, the composition fits with remarkable precision. This is likely because each form is created in response to the image that will be painted upon it. 

スケッチノートに綴られた絵柄の数々。四季の植物、生き物は躍動感と侘び寂び、それらが共存し、美しく描かれます。そして、もう一点特筆すべきなのが余白の美しさ。上絵に合わせて素地を作る妙がここにも現れます。

どんな春、初夏を届けてくれるのか、胸は高鳴ります。

Her sketchbooks are filled with drawings. Seasonal plants and living creatures rendered with both vitality and a sense of wabi-sabi, coexisting in harmony. There is also the beauty of empty space. Here too, the relationship between form and painting reveals its subtle mastery.

We are eager to receive the spring and early summer through the works she creates.
